Pre-Paid cards and membership passcodes can be redeemed for certain benefits like membership and can be obtained in different ways:
- By redeeming a RS / OSRS Bond
- By purchasing a Pre-Paid store card
- Via a third party provider
Note: If your current active membership was purchased via Google or Apple you'll be unable to redeem a passcode until that membership expires.
How to use a membership passcode
To redeem a membership passcode or Pre-Paid card:
- Head to Redeem a code
- Log into the account you want to claim your passcode on
- Enter the code either from the Pre-Paid card or sent to your Message Centre and follow the onscreen prompts
If you want to gift the membership to someone else, simply send the passcode to them and ask them to follow the above steps.
Membership passcode not arrived
If a code hasn't been delivered to your Message Centre:
- Allow up to 12 hours for the code to be sent
- If you have other accounts, check your Message Centre to make sure it wasn't sent there instead
- If you redeemed a Bond, make sure you didn't accidentally redeem it for membership by mistake
Please note that codes from third party providers will be delivered as described by the provider.
Membership passcode not working
If the code isn't working, there are a few things to be aware of:
- Double check you've entered the correct code and followed the above redemption steps
- Make sure you haven't already used the code on an alternative account
- Membership codes cannot be redeemed on accounts that have active membership purchased via Google or Apple
- If you're trying to redeem a Pre-Paid card make sure you have a character name set

Accidentally redeemed a Bond for a membership passcode
If you mistakenly used a Bond to redeem a 14 day membership passcode when you actually wanted normal membership, retrieve the code from your Message Centre then log in and redeem the passcode on the account you'd like the membership on.
