Rebooting your modem/router can improve speed issues. Rebooting clears excess information that’s stored in the cache and resyncs the hardware and software.
To reboot
- Turn off all computers and devices connected to your modem/router
- Turn off and unplug modem/router
- Keep your modem/router unplugged for 60 seconds
- Plug it back in and turn it back on - allow the modem/router to completely reboot until the connection lights show a steady connection before turning on your devices
