In extremely rare cases, it may be necessary for us to perform a game-wide rollback as a last resort to ensure the integrity of the game. When this happens, we will endeavour to give as much warning as possible and keep players updated while this occurs.
We are unable to rollback individual accounts for you, regardless of what the reason for wanting this is.
We are also not able to remove XP from accounts for you, even in cases where this was gained unintentionally. However, for RuneScape players, it is possible to remove small amounts of XP yourself in-game.
Reset criteria
If you're a RuneScape player and you meet the below criteria you might be able to remove some XP yourself (this feature is not currently available in Old School).

Requires Level 15 or lower - can be reduced to a minimum XP value of 1,154 |
Requires Level 10 or lower - can be reduced to a minimum XP value of 0 |
How to reset
If you meet the reset criteria, visit Nastroth in Lumbridge and ask him to remove XP from a skill.
- You must have nothing equipped, in your inventory or in a Beast of Burden.
- You cannot have an item that would be removed by the reset stored as a Keepsake.
- Upon first speaking to Nastroth about a skill reset, you must wait 7 days before speaking to him again to finalise.
- When completing the process, you can choose to reduce the skill to 0 XP, or select a specific experience value you want.
- Performing this reset will not affect the completion state of any quests that require the chosen skill.
- Skill resets can only be performed once every 6 months.
Preventing a reset
If you don't want the possibility of ever resetting your stats, you can ask Nastroth to never offer this again. This change is permanent and we are unable to reverse this if you change your mind later.
