When to report a player
The best way to handle players that you find irritable or rude is to add them to your Ignore List.
On rare occasions, when a player's behaviour has escalated or persisted beyond simple trolling, you have the reporting tool at your disposal.
Please report the incident as soon as the offence has occurred. Chat reports will only contain the in game chat that took place at the time it is sent.
What reporting does
The reporting tool sends a snapshot of in game chat to us. We will then look over the report and take any necessary action.
Although we do not send out confirmation messages or updates, rest assured that all successfully completed in game reports are processed and reviewed within 24 hours of being submitted.
Reporting 'Law-breaking content' allows you to report certain illegal activities via our website (not available via all countries).
How to submit a report
If you want to report a player that you have spotted breaking an in game rule or a real-life law follow these steps.
RuneScape
In game
| 1 | Select the player and choose 'Examine' | |
| 2 | Select the report flag in the top-left corner of the examine interface | |
| 3 | Select a reason for reporting the player | |
| 4 | You can report certain illegal content via the 'Law-Breaking content' button (not available in all countries) |
In chat
| 1 | Select the cog in the top right corner of the All Chat interface, and select 'Report' | |
| 2 | Hit 'Report a Player' | |
| 3 | Select the chat or player you wish to report and press 'next' | |
| 4 | Select a reason for reporting the player | |
| 5 | You can report certain illegal content via the 'Law-Breaking content' button (not available in all countries) |

In game
| 1 | Right-click the player and select 'Report' | |

| 1 | Click the 'Report' button located on the bottom right of the chat box | |
| 2 | Enter the display name of the player you'd like to report | |
