The Ignore List is a feature that is a part of the Friends List. You can use it to stop seeing messages from certain players via the chat channel.
You should use the ignore feature if you're being harassed, sent excessive or inappropriate messages or receiving spam.
Using the Ignore feature

Head to your Friends list -
Community tab >
Friends list

Here you can toggle the Ignore list on

Select the
yellow plus and type their name in the box
Old School
-
Head to your
Friends list
-
Toggle the Ignore list on

Select 'Add Name' and type their name in the box
Ignore someone in chat
This process is the same for both RuneScape and Old School.
- Select their name in the chatbox and press delete
- Select them and add them to your Ignore list
How many players can I ignore?
- Non-members can ignore 100 players
- Members can ignore 400 players
Don't forget that you're in control of who is on your Ignore List. This means you can add and remove players from it whenever you like.
