Your account may have two different emails set to it:
Login Email
Accounts created after 2010 use a login email, accounts created before use a login name.
- Can't be changed
- Can only be used on 1 account
- Automatically becomes your registered email
Registered Email
- Can be changed
- Receives emails about account management
Here's a breakdown of what each email is used for:

For Jagex Accounts, your characters registered email and contact preferences can still be updated through the Communication and Preferences settings, however we will only use this address when we have offers, news and updates for your specific character when opted in. It is not used for account management, account recovery or to log into your characters - Your Jagex Account login email will be used for this instead.
