Why was my account disabled?
There are two reasons that your account may have been disabled:
- Our chat monitoring system has detected that you may have indicated that you are not old enough to have a RuneScape or Old School account.
- You may have entered a date of birth that indicates that you are not old enough to have a RuneScape or Old School account.
Why do you have to disable my account?
Section 4 of our Terms & Conditions clearly state that you must be at least 13 years of age to play the RuneScape titles. If we have a reasonable belief that you may be under 13, we will stop your account and set about deleting any personal data that we may hold for you (such as your email address) 28 days after the restriction is first applied.
If you are 13 or over and we have age restricted your account, you can make a binding new declaration of your age, via the 'update date of birth' button below.
We would urge you to do this as soon as you can, to maximise the chance of your request being accepted before the 28 day deletion date applies. We do not offer any guarantee to accept your request and we can not offer assurance that your request will be processed before the 28 day deletion point, especially if you submit a late request close to the deadline.
Please note that restricted game accounts will be unavailable while we process your request.
How long will it take to re-enable my account?
Once your request has been processed, you should expect to receive an email reply within 7 days.
If your Jagex account has been disabled due to indications of being too young to play our games, we will contact you regarding this.
If our support site defaults to your Jagex account login, please right-click the 'Update date of birth' button and select 'Open link in incognito window'. This will allow you to log in with your RuneScape email or username.
