Troubleshooting and error messages
To make playing on mobile easier, we've outlined some common technical issues and how to resolve them here:
No audio
To limit data usage the apps will not stream audio while on a data connection.
Device not supported
At present, some devices will not be able to install or update to the latest version. We're aiming to increase compatibility moving forward.
"Game Client undergoing update maintenance. Please try again later."
Updating to the most recent version of the app should resolve this error.
"Connecting to server" or "No internet connection found"
Try connecting to Wifi or waiting until you have a stronger mobile connection. You can also try logging in on Desktop first and then logging in on Mobile to ensure your account is activated.
Old School RuneScape only
If you are encountering crashes during certain activities such as killing/looting an NPC or certain skilling activities such as Mining, Woodcutting or Fishing, the team have implemented a fix for this.
To activate the fix, you will need to run a command on the affected account.
Note: This may take up to a minute and may slow your game while running, so we would recommend finding a safe/quiet area before attempting this.
To activate the fix:
- In chat, type ::repairlt
Please note: that is a lowercase LT after “repair.” - If you've entered this correctly, a message will appear in chat saying: "Attempting to repair LootTracker save"
- Once the repair is finished, you'll get a message informing whether a repair was made, or whether it completed the check and there was nothing to fix
If you encounter any problems with this, please submit a ticket.
