It can sometimes take up to 24 hours for payments to process. You'll receive a notification in your account's message centre for a successful purchase.
If a payment fails, the funds will not be sent to Jagex and your payment may show as pre-authorised on your statement. Your bank or card issuer can take up to 5 working days to return the payment.
Making a successful payment
To make a successful payment, double-check that:
- You're entering your details correctly
- You have enough funds available
- Your payment method is in date and hasn't expired
If you still need help making a payment, try these troubleshooting steps.
Contact your payment provider
Contact your payment provider to see if they have information about the failed transaction and the status of your payment. Make sure they're not blocking online or international payments as we're based in the UK.
If you're using a third party provider, unsuccessful payments may not show up on our systems. If you're having issues please get in touch with them directly:

Check for service disruptions
Sometimes a service disruption can prevent payments from going through, try waiting 24 hours before trying again.
- Check if Jagex has any service disruptions on our Support homepage
- Check your payment provider's website for any known issues
Use an alternative payment method
If the payment method you're attempting to use isn't working, try an alternative method.
If you have an active Apple Pay or Google Play subscription on your account, you'll be unable to purchase an additional membership package via other methods.
Renew your recurring subscription
Membership subscriptions rebill 72 hours before they expire. If this attempt fails we will automatically retry every 2 days for a total of 5 times. If the automatic rebill fails on the 5th attempt your subscription will end. Most subscription issues can be easily resolved by setting up a new agreement.
