A subscription to our games unlocks the full world of Gielinor, giving you access to the full map, exclusive quests, skills and future content in both era's.
Whether you're actively questing, skilling or bossing, your subscription is designed to be easy to manage.
The following guide explains the different ways that you can manage your subscriptions, so that you are always in control of your subscriptions and you know all of the options available to you.
How can I subscribe?
To subscribe to our games to unlock new skills, new areas, exclusive quests and bosses.
Active Subscriptions
You can check your current membership status through your account, including:
- Whether your subscription is active
- Your membership plan
- Your renewal date
Jagex Account
- Log into your Jagex Account management
- Select the 'Subscriptions' tab
- You will then be able to see a list of your active and expired subscriptions
- Select 'Manage' to view your subscription details
If you haven't set up your Jagex Account yet
- Log into your Account Settings
- Select 'Log in with RuneScape username' at the bottom
- Enter either your login username or email address
If you subscribe with Apple or Google
Please contact Apple or Google directly, as they will be able to provide you with the best guidance on how to manage your subscriptions through their platform.
How do I update my payment details?
To update a credit or debit card used for a subscription, simply set up a new subscription using your new card.
You will be billed straight away, but any remaining membership from your previous subscription will still be available on your character.
Can I transfer my purchase?
If you've mistakenly purchased membership or other items on the wrong character, we may be able to transfer the purchase to the correct character.
To be eligible for a purchase transfer:
- Purchases must have been made within the last six months
- Purchases must be unused
- Transactions must be transferred in their entirety and cannot be split across multiple accounts
- Purchases cannot be transferred from a permanently banned account
Please note, we are unable to transfer purchases made via Apple or Google.

Grandfathered Rates
Only 1 month subscriptions started purchased through our store and maintained since before the 27th of September 2024 will be eligible to retain grandfathered rates.
Please note, third party membership purchases are not eligible for a Grandfathered rate.
Can I cancel my subscription?
If you decide that membership is no longer right for you, here are the ways that you cancel your subscription:
